Big Basin Redwoods State Park— A 9-10 mile hike, visiting Buzzard's Roost, Sempervirens Creek and Slippery Rock. Meet behind La Fondue at Saratoga at 8:30 or at park H.Q. at 9:30. Leader is Martin Donald (650) 966-1984.

Big Basin Trail Maintenance— Meet Jeff Bleam at park headquarters at 9:00_AM for some hands-on trail work. This group meets the second Saturday of each month. Call (831) 338-0774.

Trail Maintenance - Skyline to the Sea Trail— Al Lisin, (408) 252-8106, leads a group that maintains the Skyline to the Sea Trail. This group also meets on the second Saturday of the month. The group meets at 9:00 AM. Please call Al for meeting place (which changes).

Russian Ridge OSP (plus)— Alias 4 Open Space Preserves — Meet at Montebello Parking Lot on Page Mill at 9:30 or carpool from Page Mill & 280 at 9:00 AM. We'll start at Montebello cross over to Skyline Ridge Open Space, connect with Russian Ridge cross back over Skyline to Coal Creek and end back at Montebello. 8 - 10 miles bring water, lunch and your sense of humor! http://www.openspace.org/preserves/maps/pr_monte_bello.pdf. Castle Rock State Park Trail Maintenance— The third Saturday of every month Martin Donald leads trail work in the Castle Rock area. Meet at Saratoga Gap parking lot at 9:00 AM. Call Martin at (650) 966-1984. Bring boots and gloves, lunch and liquid. Tools are supplied but bring your own favorites if you prefer.

Big Basin Redwoods State Park— We will hike the Skyline-to-the-Sea Trail to Berry Creek Falls, then return by the Sunset Trail. This is a moderately strenuous hike of about 11 miles. Meet for carpooling at 8:45 behind La Fondue at Saratoga or at park HQ at 9:30. Call Vivian Jung (408) 238-3388.

Henry Cowell State Park – Fall Creek— A 10-mile hike at Fall Creek unit of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park near Felton. Meet in the Fall Creek parking lot at 9:30 or car-pool from municipal parking lot in Los Gatos (formally VTA lot) at 8:45 For more information, call Toni Bassett at (650) 948-7344.

Pogonip and Henry Cowell— A 9-mile hike from Pogonip to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and back. Meet at municipal parking lot in Los Gatos (formally VTA lot) at 8:45. Call for more information (including starting point). Hike leader is Mark Bowden (408) 735-8736.

San Francisco— Ten-mile hike from Sutro Baths to Chrissy Field along Coastal Trail and returning through the Presidio. Spectacular views. Meet at Sutro Baths parking lot at 9:30 or carpool from Page Mill & 280 at 8:30. Contact Janet McCarron (408) 245-1519. This hike will include a planning meeting for the Fall Quarter hikes, so please bring ideas for hikes in Oct-Nov-Dec along with you.

Portola Redwoods State Park and Pescadero Creek County Park— An 11-mile hike along the Coyote Ridge, Tarwater, Canyon, Bear Ridge and Pomponio Trails. Meet at Portola Redwoods SP headquarters at 9:30 or Hwy 280 and Page Mill Park and Ride at 8:45. Leader is Martin Donald (650) 966-1984.

Castle Rock State Park— A 9-mile loop on the Skyline, Loughry Woods, Travertine Springs and Toll Road Trails. Meet at Saratoga Gap parking lot at 9:30. Martin Donald (650) 966-1984.

Long Ridge Open Space— A loop of about 10 miles through Stevens Creek Canyon, along Hickory Oak Ridge and Long Ridge with beautiful vistas to the West. Meet at Grizzly Flat parking area at 9:30 AM or at Page Mill & 280 at 8:45. Leader is Mary Ellen Quinn (408) 885-0184.

Phleger Estate and Huddart Park— 10-11 Miles. Carpool at 9:00 AM at Page Mill/280 or meet at Huddart Headquarters at 9:30. ( There is a $5.00 charge for parking at Huddart Park). We'll trek through Phleger first via Miramontes Trail connecting with Raymundo & Lonely trails then down into Huddart Park via Crystal or Chinquapin Trails (leaders choice) ending on Dean Trail back to the Headquarters. Forest of Nisene Marks State Park— A loop of 10 miles, up the West Ridge Trail, over to Maple Falls and then back down the Loma Prieta Trail. Meet at George's Picnic Area at 9:30 or carpool from the Municipal Parking Lot at Los Gatos at 8:30. Call Vivian Jung (408) 238-3388.

Henry Cowell State Park— A moderate 9-mile hike with lots of up and down hills. Bring sneakers or some kind of booties for wading across the San Lorenzo River. Meet at 8:45 in the Los Gatos municipal lot (formally VTA lot). Call Mark Bowden for details (408) 735-8736.

Big Sur— Camp at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Let me know if you plan to camp before June 25th so I can reserve sites. Possibility of a hike on Sat. as well. Meet at the Ranger Sta. at Big Sur at 9:15 morning of the hike. Meals and carpooling to be determined later. Todd 831-239-6618
